Pet the Dog: Listen to Music!

Did it all for you

Maybe we should go home
so we could avoid another episode.
You know that I don't
want another "well that's all that she wrote".
If you think I don't
I do appreciate you.

You say I'm only thinking about myself
because I'm not around enough.
But lately when we're together
you wish I'd be somebody else.

This is the part where we can work it all out
or decide we don't want to.
I changed myself more than you'd care to admit.
I thought I did it all for you.

Baby look at you now
all upset over a car and fancy house.
Where's the girl that I met
front row at the show with the drink above her head?
You put your greed ahead of me.
I wish you'd see.

I'm coming home to an empty house.
I'd rather be anywhere else.
I'm not giving up.
Sit down, this isn't going on the shelf.

This is the part where we can work it all out
or decide we don't want to.
I changed myself more than you'd care to admit.
I thought I did it all for you.

Just imagine us now
on the porch of this big expensive house.
Is it all that you'll want
or do we got to upgrade what's in the garage?
I'm here for you if you're for me.
(Not all my money)

For so long you've been part of my life
so to hear you say is a surprise;
suddenly what I'm all about
is just a big old waste of time.

This is the part where we can work it all out
or decide we don't want to.
I changed myself more than you'd care to admit.
I thought I did it all for you.
